music education & technology

Applying technology has improved teaching and learning in music education.

There was a limit chance of listening music unless I buy all CDs or tapes. When I was 12 years old, I had music class and teacher asked students to listen 7 musics for the final exam. I was able to listen only 5 musics due to the lack of source. The first time I listened the other two musics was on final exam day. I used to be wanted to compose a music while I was riding in car and listen my piano playing right after I played a music. However, I needed pencil and notebook to compose a music and complex process required to record musical performance at that time.

Todays, we have mp3 player which allow us to download all music that we want to listen. Laptop, portable composer, digital piano, and easy recording system has solved those problems that I had before. Therefore, applying technology has acceleratedly improved teaching and learing in music education by saving time and breaking lack of sources.
